Solar Purchasing Assistant
Overview
Experienced professional in procurement and supply-chain management for photovoltaic projects, with cross-functional skills in purchasing, logistics, and supplier coordination.
Specialised in the selection and negotiation of technical components, ensuring quality, delivery timelines, and costs align with project objectives.
Provides support to national and international logistics activities, coordinating shipments, customs documentation, and warehousing in close collaboration with the project management and site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Good working knowledge of electrical materials and photovoltaic plant components is highly desirable (preference given to experience in utility-scale projects)
- Preparation and issuing of purchase orders
- Supplier research and qualification within the photovoltaic market
- Logistics management, transport, and international shipping
- Delivery planning and coordination with site managers and project managers
- Monitoring of purchasing and logistics KPIs
- Knowledge of customs procedures and related documentation (DDT, packing lists, CMR,customs declarations, etc.)
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems and management software
- Professional-level English for dealing with overseas suppliers
Skills & Qualifications:
- To optimise the supply chain and logistics for utility-scale photovoltaic plants, contributing to cost reduction, improved operational efficiency, and ensuring project reliability during both the construction and maintenance phases.
