Solar Qualified Maintenance Electrician (UK)
Overview
In this role you will be conducting maintenance on a variety of electrical installations across multiple solar installations providing thorough reports to ensure operations continue smoothly. It provides you with autonomy to ensure work is completed to a high standard and also to engage with any subcontractors on site.
The ideal candidate will have experience in solar maintenance on a commercial or industrial scale with an 18th edition. They will have a broad range of knowledge across electrical systems such as cables, inverters, connectors, monitoring and communications but will also be looking to expand their knowledge and continually develop.

Responsibilities
- Daily inspection, repairs and reporting on operations across solar installs sites.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical systems, machinery, and equipment
- Routine maintenance on electrical installations.
- Attending sites with faults and system failures
- Fault finding on electrical components and rectifying
- Working with external subcontractors to complete maintenance tasks.
- Remedial works, Inspection and testing, O and M reports
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
- Install new electrical components and wiring
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure functionality
- Adhere to health and safety regulations when working with electrical systems
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete projects efficiently
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in the installation and/or maintenance of Solar equipment.
- Level 3 electrical qualification and 18th edition.
- Clean UK driving licence.
- Willing to travel between multiple sites.
- 2391 Inspection & testing qualification is essential
- Passion for renewable energy.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for electrical work
- Sound knowledge of electrical systems, circuitry, and wiring
- Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills when troubleshooting electrical issues
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Electrical: 3 years (required)
- Driving Licence (required)
