Installer - Display Hire & Exhibition Stand Job

Location: Workshop - Skelmersdale

Salary: Starting at £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Type: Full-time. Travel to show / client sites required.

Install, assemble and dismantle exhibition stands, display systems and event graphics.

Deliver high-quality finishing onsite, install tension fabrics and large graphics, and ensure work is safe, on time and to client standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture Assemble/dismantle of exhibition stands, modular systems, frames and tension-fabric displays.
  • Carry out joinery tasks: measuring, cutting, drilling, fitting timber/metalwork and neat finishing.
  • Read and work from technical/shop drawings; mark out and verify dimensions on site.
  • Transport materials/equipment, load/unload vans, and maintain secure storage.
  • Perform on-site problem-solving and small repairs to stands/fixtures.
  • Maintain tools, PPE and company vehicle to company standards.
  • Ensure H&S compliance: risk assessments, safe working at height, site rules.
  • Liaise with project managers, clients and other contractors to deliver a professional service.
  • Work flexibly for early starts, late finishes and occasional weekend/overnight event work.
  • Occasionally act as the primary point of contact during project delivery, providing a professional and confident face for the company during on-site client handovers

 

Profile (Essential)

  • Proven hands-on experience in exhibition stand building, event installation or carpentry/joinery.
  • Strong joinery skills and comfort using hand and power tools (saws, drills, sanders, etc.).
  • Experience fitting tension fabrics and large graphics is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read drawings and follow technical instructions accurately.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to event sites.
  • Physically fit and comfortable with lifting, ladder use and working at heights.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in finish.
  • Good communicator, punctual and reliable.

 

Profile (Desirable)

  • Carpentry/joinery apprenticeship or formal qualification.
  • PASMA/IPAF or Working at Height training.
  • CSCS or similar site card.
  • First aid/manual handling certificates.
  • Experience driving company vans
