Senior Solar PV Electrician (UK)
Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Solar PV Electrician. The opportunity to play a key role in improving site readiness, coordination, and quality control across solar PV projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring project sites are fully prepared before subcontractors arrive, overseeing elements of installation work, and carrying out post-installation inspections. While some hands-on installation may be required, the role is primarily focused on coordination, preparation, and standards compliance rather than full installations.
There is potential for this role to develop into a position with direct reports in the future.
Responsibilities
- Attend live project sites to assess client and site requirements
- Ensure sites are fully prepared and ready prior to subcontractor attendance
- Coordinate closely with subcontractors and internal project teams
- Carry out site preparation and readiness checks
- Oversee selected aspects of installation activity
- Conduct post-installation inspections to ensure work meets required standards
- Identify and resolve site issues to prevent delays or failed installations
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency across all sites
- Project types: Commercial solar PV projects, Industrial solar PV projects, Large-scale residential developments (e.g. 100-house developments),
Candidate Requirements / Qualifications
- We’re looking for an experienced electrician with solar PV experience who wants more ownership and influence than a typical install role offers.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to influence at all levels
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as needed
- Full unrestricted right to work in the UK.
